With rustic beauty, the traditional style of this bowl will give you a warm feeling every time you use it.
This wide bowl is the shape and style of a traditional Japanese 'matchawan' tea bowl used for preparing and drinking matcha tea in the Japanese tea ceremony.
The ceramic Minoware bowl has an off-white colour with uneven edges and a hand painted 'sakura' cherry blossom design in pink and green. The glaze features crackles and marks from the kiln giving it a very traditional and individual feel.
The large size of the bowl also makes it useful for general tableware; for serving rice, soup and other side dishes as well as snacks and desserts.
The bowl measures 14.5cm in diameter (about 5¾") and 7.5cm high (about 3"). It holds about 350 ml of fluid (about 12 fl oz).
Each bowl is individually packaged in a black gift box. Because of the hand painted design and rustic glaze effects, each item may differ slightly from that shown in the pictures.
Not recommended for dishwasher or microwave.
