Just a pinch of salt brings your cooking alive! We must be careful not to over do it, of course, but without it our meals would be bland and tasteless (I know some people like that...)
This mug-shaped storage container has a nostalgic 'zakka' look and is made especially for storing salt. The outside is glazed in a muted mustard yellow colour and inside the surface is unglazed clay. The porous inner surface helps to keep the contents dry by absorbing moisture and keeping humidity at bay.
The ceramic storage jar has a natural Japanese pear wood lid with a silicone seal and comes with a matching wooden spoon that fits neatly inside.
The word 'Salt' is embossed on the handle so you'll know at a glance what's inside and no danger of confusing it with the sugar! The container's convenient handle means it won't slip from your fingers when you lift it from the shelf or as you use it.
Such a cute storage pot and so useful too, it'll look charming in any kitchen.
The height of the cannister is 9.5cm (3¾") including the lid and about 8.5cm (3⅜") in diameter. It holds about 330ml (just over 11 fl oz).
The wooden spoon measures 7.5cm (about 3") long by 4.3cm (1¾") wide.
The sturdy container is dishwasher safe but please carefully wipe the wooden lid and spoon by hand.
Made in Japan.
