In clean white enamel, this little spreader is both unique and useful.
Officially described as a butter knife, I can see it being used to spread icing on cupcakes, butter cream in butterfly cakes and the filling in a sponge sandwich. It would also be good for spreading jam, soft cheese, pickles or chutneys.
If you need a light touch and find a palette knife too wieldy then this could be just the utensil for you!
The enamel products in this range are handmade by craftsmen in the city of Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Some items show the marks of the crafting process, for example where they have been hung in the ovens, which gives them an individual appearance without impairing the quality.
