This sumptuous Japanese serving tray is made from sturdy ABS resin and decorated with gold leaf and metallic motifs using traditional lacquerware techniques.

It's ideal for serving sake, tea or desserts and will add a traditional elegance to your sideboard or coffee table.

This tray, known as 'Yamanaka Shikki' (Yamanaka lacquerware), is manufactured the Ishikawa region of Japan which has a long history of producing traditional Japanese lacquerware.  Today, the craftsmen of this area have adapted their techniques to use modern materials to create practical items suitable for everyday use.

Presented in a pretty Japanese paper gift box, this highly decorative tray makes a wonderful gift for lovers of Japanese culture.

• The tray is decorated with gold foil (metallic).  Do NOT use it in the microwave oven.
• Not suitable for the dishwasher.  Please wash it carefully by hand and dry with a soft cloth.
