Japan has a centuries-old tradition of calligraphy and papermaking so beautiful stationery has an important place in the hearts of Japanese people.

The front and back cover of this convenient passport-sized Japanese notebook features a painting of Chrysanthemum flowers by famous Japanese artist Hokusai (1760-1849).

Inside, the notebook contains 60 pages of premium Japanese writing paper, especially developed to feel luxuriously smooth when you write or sketch.  The cream coloured paper is lightly marked with dots so that it's easy for you to mark your own columns or grid.

The waxed paper cover is made to wear and crease over time to give a unique weathered appearance, similar to soft leather.

The notebook is hand-bound using thread and glue.

Made in Japan by Yamamoto Paper.
