"Shall we have tea? I'll make it!" Mitarashi-chan needs a little help to reach the cup but he can do it!

Keep your favourite tea fresh and dry in this traditional Japanese tea tin; vital if you want to have a tea ceremony!

The tea caddy, or 'chazutsu', is made of tin-plated metal decorated with Japanese washi paper featuring a cute Mitarashi-chan cat design.

The tin has an outer close fitting lid and then an inner tightly fitting lid to ensure that whatever you keep in there stays fresh.

Although traditionally the cannister would be used to store tea, you could use it for spices, sugar or other food stuff that needs to be kept air-tight or just use it as a decorative container around the home.

The container can hold approximately 25g - 50g, depending on the type, of loose leaf tea.

Made in Japan.
