Navy 'Tobikanna' Bowl Large

The spiral pattern of this shallow dish reminds me of sparks from a Catherine wheel in a dark night sky!

In fact, this design comes from a traditional decorative pottery technique known as 'tobikanna' where a sharp tool is used to create a continuous scattered pattern in the clay.

The classic white and dark navy blue colour combination give this fine dish a stylish simplicity that will suit any interior decor.  The edges of the bowl are subtly uneven which, together with the traditional pattern, lend it a warm hand-crafted feel.

The underside of the bowl also features the dark blue and white 'tobikanna' design.

This larger size flat bowl is perfect for all kinds of main dishes including ramen, noodle dishes and curries where you have a lot of soup or sauce.

Diameter:  21 cm (8¼")
