Delicate leaves can always tell us about the season. Fresh spring green deepen through the summer turning gold and crimson in the autumn.
A leaf shaped dish can bring a natural touch to your table and this pale green version has a soft, fresh colour that will look perfect among plain or patterned crockery.
The small plate, with a detailed leaf shape, is just right for serving soy sauce, tsukemono pickles, wasabi and other small condiments to go with your Japanese and Asian cuisine.
The pretty shape is embellished with the rib lines of the leaf and a wash of pale green glaze.
The dish measures about 12cm (4¾") in length by 9cm (3½") wide and stands about 2cm (¾") high.
It occurs to me that this plate would also make a cute soap dish for a guest-sized bar of soap!
