The patchwork of patterns used in this design are inspired by the patterns of traditional kimono fabrics. With sharp lines and angular shapes, it also has the look of broken crockery lovingly reformed with 'kintsugi' techniques.
The design brings together a lot of small details including a scalloped edge and the white exterior surface is finished with a cute bow.
This small size ceramic bowl (about 10cm or 4" across) make it a useful dish for dipping sauce, side salads, pickled vegetables or small desserts.
