'Qinghai Wave' Coffee Cup & Saucer

This pattern represents waves on the sea.  But rather than being a symbol of a turbulent ocean, these gentle waves represent calmer waters and the wish that they will continue.

The 'Qinghai Wave' pattern came originally from China but it has been a traditional design in Japan since ancient times.

Even though it's an ancient design, it can still be seen in all kinds of fabrics, ceramics and works of art.

This fine porcelain coffee cup and saucer set features the Qinghai wave in cool monochrome black and white.  The textured finish has a matte black dot work design on a glossy white background.

With its straight sides and clean lines, the set perfectly combines modern style with traditional ideas.  The saucer even doubles up as a separate side plate.

Cup and saucer are presented in a black gift box.

Safe for microwave and dishwasher.

Made in Japan.
