The spiral of sparks in this traditional pattern looks like a chrysanthemum firework in the night sky!
In fact, the design comes from a traditional decorative pottery technique known as 'tobikanna' where a sharp tool is used to create a continuous scattered pattern in the clay.
The classic white and dark navy blue give this fine shallow dish a stylish modern look that will suit any interior. The edges of the bowl are subtly uneven which, together with the traditional pattern, lend it a warm hand-crafted feel.
The underside of the bowl also features the dark blue and white 'tobikanna' design.
This medium size flat bowl is perfect for all kinds of side dishes, noodles, rice or salad. It would also work well for desserts with cream or custard.
